Devan F. Wastchak

Mr. Wastchak has been a Partner since VIVO's inception in 1997. In addition to overseeing the property management of VIVO's existing assets, he orchestrates the entitlements for new developments. His experience successfully managing $150+ million in assets through the recession, while upholding each property's high reputation with regard to maintenance, customer service and landscaping appeal, provides valuable insight as VIVO considers design options for new projects.

Prior to forming VIVO, Mr. Wastchak worked for one of Arizona's leading luxury multi-family developers – Mark-Taylor Development. During his tenure, Mr. Wastchak oversaw various aspects of development and construction of +3,000 units across multiple apartment communities.

Mr. Wastchak graduated with honors from Arizona State University's prestigious Del E. Web School of Construction, and returned as an associate professor to teach a senior level real estate development course for several years. He has been a guest lecturer in the Master of Real Estate Development program at ASU as well as other academic and real estate groups. Mr. Wastchak is active in several professional and volunteer organizations including the Arizona Multi-Housing Association, REIAC (Real Estate Investment Advisory Council), Valley Partnership and Arizona Town Hall where he is on the Board of Directors. He has also enjoyed serving the City of Chandler as a member of the Industrial Development Authority and was recently appointment by the Mayor and City Council to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
